One Year Pics

12 Months

12 months came and went with a furry!  Your dad and I were just sitting there looking at each other thinking how in the world are you one?!?  You absolutely light up our world!  You are so funny, and keep us laughing all the time.  You have such the "little" personality!  People always make comments about how talkative you are.  You have so much to say!

You are walking everywhere.  No time for hugs and cuddles!  You want to explore whenever possible!  You love playing pica boo.  You are throwing things and opening every drawer in the house!  We gave you your own little drawer in the kitchen.  You love to play in it while I'm in the kitchen.  You started drinking from a straw a little.  Still eating pretty well, but still dealing with a lot of food allergies.  You are close to weaning, but not quite there.

You want to be outside as much as possible.  Between the horrible Texas heat and your allergies, those moments are few and far between. You do love to help me when I'm training clients.  You always try to lift all the weights.  You're really quite strong!  You love cartoons, especially Sofia the First.  You immediately start dancing when you hear that song come on.  It's hilarious.  You give kisses now.  And in the rare moment you do stop from all the exploring, you love giving hugs and cuddling.

At your one year appointment you were 26 lbs and 30 inches long.  Just around 85th percentile.  You're in 12-18 month clothing.  More 18 months, but you're kinda all over the place.  You're still going to bed around 6:30pm, and waking up around 7:30am.  You nap a couple times a day for about an hour each.  About 3 days before your birthday you stopped napping.  Not sure what's going on.  You still hate bows and shoes.  Mommy is really hoping you grow out of that soon!  Especially the whole shoe thing!!

Moving Day

We started looking for a house back in the spring, and thought it was going to be a fairly easy process.  Well, not so much.  The market TOOK OFF!  If Travis and I heard "It's such a sellers market" one more time, we were going to lose it!  It got crazy fast.  So, we found a house, spent forever in the option period, and then closed in just days.  We literally had 72 hours to pack and move out of our old house!  It was insane.  Here are some cute pics of our little helper...Wish we had taken more pics of ourselves in the process!

11 months

How in the world are you 11 months old!  I'm not ready for you to be one yet!  We are loving this stage right now.  You are so busy exploring and talking and just taking it all in.  You had some big milestones this month.  You took your first steps!  Could not believe it.  You are loving your new found skill.  You are slow and steady with each little step.  It's so cute!  You are standing up all by yourself and just stepping away.  The only way I could get your picture this month is if I distracted you with books!  You just can't sit still!

You are mimicking more and more of what we say and sounds we make.  You said "bye-bye" to Grammy, and are saying "dada" more and more.  We love the cute sounds and noises you make.  You love carrying on long conversations with us.  We don't exactly know what you're saying yet, but you definitely have a lot to say!

You do this cute thing where we say "bounce, bounce bounce" and you bounce up and down on your bottom.  And when we say "shake, shake, shake" you shake your head back and forth as fast as you can.  I don't want to forget these cute things you do!!

Food is still slow moving.  We're doing more and more solids.  Green beans, avocados, plums (you LOVE plums), and puffs....you could eat puffs all day long if we let you.  You like to share things with people.  You usually take it right back, but you share for a second.  ;-)

You love opening and shutting whatever you can!  Definitely exploring everything!  In fact, you are no longer containable in your little baby gated area.  You have figured out how to open the gate.  So smart!   It's so fun seeing you learn and grow.  Everyday there is something new!
