38 Weeks

How far along: 38 weeks, and this pic is why a preggo should NOT wear horizontal stripes!!  My belly looks ginormous!

Gender: Girl 

Weight gain: Gained a few in the last couple weeks, so I think I'm up to about 37lbs.  And can I say hello water retention!  The madness has begun. 

Maternity clothes: Yes, yes, and  yes. 

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: I actually had a moment where I thought it was poking out, BUT I think I had just eaten a big meal. ;-)  

Sleep: Not fantastic, but what can you expect at this point. 

Best moment this week: Baby's room is done!! Woohoo!! Huge checklist of this mommy's to do list!

Worst moment this week: I've had lots and lots of contractions happening in the evenings.  I never had anything like this with AB, so quite different for me.  

Miss anything:  Not that I can think of (besides the obvious I could list i.e. sleep, normal clothes, etc) ;-)       

Movement: She gets the hiccups a lot.  So cute, and uncomfortable.  

Cravings: Ummmm, not sure.  Rice Krispie Treats are still holding strong.  So good! 

Queasy or sick: A little bit of both 

Looking forward to: Not having this big ol belly anymore! 

ICE

Travis and I have wanted to go to the Gaylord Ice show, and just never made it out to do it.  This year we thought it would be a perfect time to take AB, and do something fun before the little one gets here.  Anyone who's been to the Gaylord knows it can be a bit overwhelming, but definitely worth taking the fam to.  AB loved it, and didn't seem to phased by the cold.  I think she rode the ice slide about a million times!  So fun, and highly recommend it!  They even had a coat big enough to fit over my big preggo belly!

The aftermath.  Didn't last but 5 minutes in the car before she was out!

36 Weeks

How far along: 36 weeks

Gender: Girl 

Weight gain: Just around 34lbs. We'll see how high that number gets this time!

Maternity clothes: Yep!  But actually able to wear some non maternity leggings and sweats.  

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: Flat, but barely.  

Sleep: It's hit or miss.  Just the simple act of rolling over is a quite a process.  Ab loved me sleeping only on my right.  Miss Haven gives me the option of either, which is nice.  

Best moment this week: This week flew by!  Not even sure what to put here. 

Worst moment this week: The nausea has continued, which blows!  And I'm getting more picky on what I can eat again. :-/  

Miss anything: Just being able to sleep!  And not have to get up 50 times a night to pee!!       

Movement: Yep.  Lots and lots.

Cravings: Rice Krispie Treats all day!!!  

Queasy or sick: A little bit 

Looking forward to: Getting her room done!!! 

Neglect that happens

This happened when I was pregnant with AB, and I assume most all of us go through this during pregnancy to some degree…but I feel like most all I blog or talk about it the upcoming arrival of the baby.  I fail to update on the people here around me ( i.e. my daughter and husband), and the life we're currently leading.  SO, this is a post of recent happenings with the current Jones family…

This little character is growing up so incredibly fast!!  You really are not at all "little" considering you're in 3T/4T clothing and you're only 2!!  You're hilarious, full of emotions, and you love to dance around!  You are talking more and more, surprising us each day with the new words you are picking up and using.  It's amazing how much can change from day to day!  You still love being outside as much as possible.  You and daddy have daddy/daughter time at the park as much as possible in the mornings before he goes to work.  You still love the slides, but you're now loving the big girl climbing wall.  You can basically clim up the whole thing by yourself!!  You also LOVE playing in the car.  So random, I know!  But you loves to play with all the buttons, roll the windows up and down, and especially open/close the garage door.  We just moved you to your big girl bed, and you love it!  We still can't believe you're big enough to be out of a crib!

You are such a cuddler when you wake up in the morning or naps, I love it!  You go to bed around 7:30 now, and wake around 7:00.  Your naps are usually a couple hours, and you go down around 12:30.  We usually have to watch cartoons once you wake up for about 30-an hour.  And you have to have your cookies after you wake up.  ;-)

We love you, and can't wait to see what a great big sister you are!!

34 Weeks and some family pics

How far along: 34 weeks

Gender: Girl 

Weight gain: Had a huge jump last week and gained about 5 lbs in 10 days!  NOT encouraging!  I did this with AB and gained a lot right at the end.  PRAYING that doesn't happen this time around!

Maternity clothes: Allllll day! 

Stretch marks: Nope

Belly button in or out: Flat, but barely.  

Sleep: Actually have had a bit of a reprieve in the bad sleep category.  Have managed to get in a few good nights of sleep!

Best moment this week: More of the baby's room is getting done.  Making it more and more real!

Worst moment this week: Have started to feel a bit nauseous again for some reason.  

Miss anything:  Not that I can think of (besides the obvious I could list i.e. sleep, normal clothes, etc) ;-)        

Movement: Yep.  Lots and lots.

Cravings: Sugar.  Which typically means I'm not eating enough protein.  Meat is just not sounding good these days.   

Queasy or sick: A little bit 

Looking forward to: Getting her room done!!!

Boos and Zoos

We've had lots of fun lately at the zoo!  And also got to have some fun at our church's Shreek on the Creek!  Our little one was a sweet ladybug this year, but getting her to hold still for a picture these days is IMPOSSIBLE!  She has too much to do!  I feel like I'm lucky to get one out of ten pictures of her actually looking at the camera, never mind trying to actually get a smile!!
